Overview: The College of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, on-site, non-tenure track faculty position in the Physician Assistant Program at the College of Mount Saint Vincent campus in Riverdale, New York. As a principal faculty position, the Academic Coordinator, works closely with other senior faculty to insure the didactic educational program meets and exceeds that Accreditation Standards set forth by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities and Duties: Chair the Curriculum and Academic Affairs Committee. Assist in the design, implementation, coordination, and continuous review and update of the curriculum including the didactic course syllabi, instructional materials and learning objectives. Coordinate, teach, and/or evaluate instruction in core/professional courses. Evaluate student performance and provide academic counseling of students and coordination of remedial instruction. Attend national conferences and designated programs pertinent to physician assistant education and practice to enhance teaching, management and/or clinical abilities. Engage in scholarly and community service activity. Participate in program faculty/staff search committees, national, state, and/or leadership activities relevant to physician assistant education and practice.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and organizational skills, a keen dedication to detail and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment. Skillful problem-solving capabilities are necessary.

Qualifications: At least three years of clinical experience, Master's degree is required; doctorate degree or willingness to pursue a doctorate degree is preferred.

License/Certification Required: Current NCCPA Certification, State of New York PA license or New York State PA license eligible.
